The Governance Platform is an association of larger, professional institutional investors (pension funds, asset managers, and other professional parties which are active in stock market investments, hereafter referred to as the Participants).
Through the Governance Platform, the Participants put their corporate governance principles to work in a structured, continuous and qualitative manner.
With the Platform, the Participants join forces and, together, manifest themselves as a recognizable, solid, professional discussion partner for listed companies. That way, they turn governance codes such as the Dutch Tabaksblat Code into practice, and also express good corporate stewardship in the broadest sense - as their stakeholders (clients, pensionables, employees, interest groups, media, politics) expect from them to an ever increasing extent.
